A certain forum owner who thinks that it is ok to link to a page with porno advertising on it, simply because he states it the best site of its kind and needs that advertising to pay for it...

A certain PO from China caught using a University proxy from Boston Massachussetts at my site telling me it was just a mistake and begging me to restore his account.

I think not

IMHO I think you should name and shame.  If he tried to cheat at your site, who's to say he hasn't tried at other sites as well.
Also, if he's a cheater himself, who's to say he won't cheat his members

I have no idea which one Susan caught, but if she isn't willing to say (and I would understand that perfectly), one thing I would suggest is that those caught cheating one way, are often cheating another way. So maybe if it's something that concerns members, they could keep an eye on list of sites caught cheating in other ways or usernames from hall of shame pages and deleted member pages and see if there are PO usernames there.

From past exposures though, a lot of members are willing to take the chance that a PO will cheat everyone but their members  :duh:

Yes, that is a good idea but to be honest, I have been around for years and still don't know the nicks of many POs or don't know where they come from unless I am a member of their site ...  I know am a member of a site of a Chinese PO and it kinda annoys me that, evenh am sure it was not the aim of the post at all,  because he is chinese, now there is some kind of suspicion.

I have to say that just because a person owns and runs a site, doesn't mean they are honest when being a member at other sites.

a site where the higher value email ads are ALWAYS expired by the time I get to them.....but the cheapo links aren't  :ticked: :ticked: :ticked:

Are you talking about My-PTR? If so, I can explain this from an upgraded member's point of view: a lot of upgrade email ads (worth 0.1 c) are for 50 clicks. So they expire within hours.

I've just created a special Outlook Express folder called "expire quickly" and created a rule that will direct all mail from My-PTR to this folder. Otherwise, clicking the ads among all my other daily ads, usually with at least a few hours' delay, I never got to these ads, either.

I'm thinking about changing those up soon.  Ie. combining 2 50 click e-mails into 1 100 click e-mail for the upgraded members. When I created those ads, it took nearly a day for all of the clicks to be reached.  Now they last for 1-2 hours.

One of the sites that I'm in does that, too, and it's frustrating to see that message when the time stamp on the e-mail was from an hour ago.

thank you, susan.
I am a member at mangobizs.com and the owner seems to has disappeared from his/her site. last admin by him/her is 6 week old, no payout since, no upgrade ads submission (can't access my up ads = empty), no click contest $$ have been transferred to the winners accounts last months. i spend $100.00 for a platinum upgrade there about 4 months ago. no reply on emails - nothing !
Funny though that s/he is sending out ads or is clicking by the name of dear228 ads on various sites.
what a dissapointment  :(
